Vuelta al Pais Vasco: already at the top

Thibaut’s career 3rd attendance in the Vuelta al Pais Vasco saw him taking the final 9th position. This very demanding race was made even tougher by the presence of many riders building up for the Ardennaises classics. He managed to take a seat in the top 10 thanks to a good performance in the time trial (10th). His withdrawal from the Tour of Oman (illness) and his abandon on Tirreno-Adriatico (knee inflammation) a few weeks earlier already were an old story.
